My app was received at the NSC on June 28th at 9:02am. I havent receviced receipts or checks cashed. If for some reason my app is denied or there is a request for evidence after the 17th of Aug are we able to resubmit or will it be too late?

Since on 2nd July they said they will reject the AOS application, what if they would have done some rejection during that time, and by the time July filers get their application back, it is after 17th of August. In that circumstance, can you send the AOS application back arguing USCIS's mistake and ask them to take it back after 08/17 and would they take it back politely or reject it again.

I would be the most happiest person if that happens :D
i think dates won't (and should not ) move much. So at the end of year we can see big jump and then may be people like me can file i-1485.

There are lot of good/standard consulting companies ... Some are 'con' but they can't create massive impact , however the MNC's do MANIPULATION at a large scale.
Do not generalise all consulting companies...At least people working in these consulting companies sponsored GC and buying house and spending their money here. Most of the fradulent GC process was done by these croocked indian companies. They exploited the EB1C system to the maximum extend. Most of the times, they are not filing the GC and keep the employees as slaves or they exploit the EB1c fo their boot lickers.

I bought a home recently in PA. All I showed are I485 receipt, expired visa on passport,employment and other proof of income . They never asked me the EAD. Loan is through BOA. Most of the immigrants maintain good credit scores so there is good chance of getting loans approved.

Pushing too much requests into amendends means to get more risks to be removed /denied. Please satisfiy with 1/2 what you are dreaming of. Moreover, IV core group is too much busy with the existing goals (Existing goal = file 485 despite the "current date" , h4 wifes get EAD ...). IV core group need energy for the more realistic goal.

Now that someone filed a lawsuit to invalidate the July VB, which BTW is still CURRENT.......it could invalidate the CURRENT sttatus....of all Eb categories....precisely what DOS USCIS wants....

In suport of the view they are totally chaotic: RIR here, priority date is in April 2002, 45-day letter was received & replied to in February 2005 (15+ months ago), heard nothing from them since then. Lawyer started process for 7th year extension.

Just wanted to know your thoughts on this. CNN has launched the first ever cnn-youtube debate and the deadline to submit videos is 7/22.. Users have to basically upload their questions on youtube and some of these questions will be selected and democratic presidential candidates will have to answer these questions.
I know its kinda late, but why not upload videos on youtube asking questions about legal immigration to the candidates? i think it will be a great way of bringing out our problems further in the mainstream... if you think this is a good idea, we may have to act on it fast... we dont have much time.

gctest, personally I don't see any issue with eb3 to eb2 porting, look at the porting opportunity from eb3 applicant's point of view, these applicants are waiting since 2001 for GCs but EB2 applicant with PDs 2005 are getting GCs, eb3 to eb2 porting is a way for them to jump ahead of 2006 eb2 filers and get their GCs, I don't see anything wrong with it, sure it causes 2003/04 eb2 filers (very few I guess) to wait a little longer but every law has a loophole and we just have to live with it,
How many eb2 filers are really qualified for eb2 labors? I see lot of consulting firms abusing eb2 labors and lot of people who are playing the game fair are left behind, I feel porting labor is a way to level the playing field, also people who filed eb3 labors in 2001, 2002 are qualified for 2005 eb2 labor anyway, just think these applicants file eb2 labor in 2005, as you said if they are not eligible they will be denied to use the opportunity and its OK if you wait a little longer

I have expected EB2 India would move Fast but I didnt expect it would move like Super Fast. Really good for EB2. But the thing infront of us now is to work for EB3 INDIA and EB3 ROW.

Yes story is thesame. The US is unfair to high skilled immigrants. I lived in the US for 8 years. School, worked, volunteered, purchased a home, etc. When the down turn came, I was left high and dry. No unemployment benefits with all the taxes and social security that I have paid. To make matters worse, I was required to depart the same day. I had properties... been living here for 8 years!!
Even though I made this choice, it does not make it humane to have such a system. You ask, what does the US really gain by making people go through the stress, anxiety, sleepless nights? Nothing.

Sens. Schumer and Hutchison have offered the Bridge amendment. The amendment has been withdrawn but that doesn't necessarily mean that it is permanently withdrawn. According to www.shusterman.com It has a chanse to pass in September, just after the summer recess.
I believe all our efforts should be concentraited on this legislation!
Core Team, we badly need your advise, how can we help, what should we do in order to lobby this ammendment? It might be difficult because the majority of Schedule A professionals are still outside the US..... There in US we have only our lawers, who seems to me are not willing or can help us.
