Yes, Can open an LLc or Inc even on H1. Make sure you look at tax laws in your state. A non operating entity also has to pay about $750/yr in Taxes (Varies from state to state) plus file annual reports etc all costing more $$$.
So think it through before incorporating.

Cool down, nixstor! you made your point! Take a deep breath, relax and post with a rational thought process. You are not helping by continuing to post negatively.
Personally, I think we can utilize this issue for the following:
1) Urging our congressmen/senators to pass some short-term benefits like recapture of visas (Obudsman report indicates that around 180,000 visas were not used in the past years). This is a golden opprountinity for us to urge congressmen/senators to pass a bill to release those unused numbers for getting immediate relief.
2) FBI name-check process needs to be made faster; so additional funding could help. (Obama Bill)
If we leverage this issue on the above and focus all the efforts on the above two points, we will be better off. I hope the core group is already working towards the above two objectives.

I have asked a few of my friends to call the list too. And I did another round of calling Tier 1 republicans only. It was pretty much the same response as the last time. I think that is their standard way of answering, - to sit on the fence.
Unless these issues are being discussed and called to vote, they will pander to whoever is talking. But, I think we still need to put continued pressure on them, hence the friends :)

Hi,
I live in colorado...my H1B is going to expire Oct 27...I have not applied for H1B Extn. yet...But i have EAD...According to colorado DMV i should be able to use EAD for driving license extn...but does using EAD invalidates my H1B??...i am planning to apply for my H1B extn this week...but i won't be able to get approval in 3 weeks (assuming i do premium processing)...Please help me.
The only issue I see is license with 1 year validity... Still better than none :-)

I agree GC makes a difference. If anyone as EAD thats as good as GC subject to your primany job not changing. So why not do side -business on EAD while your primary job is ON. Take it easy at job, dont overwork because without GC rarely people get promoted, if they are not extra-ordinary!
Going to XYZ place because of no GC does not make sense. If you have potential you can use it here on EAD not necessarily in another country!
If u take it easy at ur job in today's date..u may get fired and lose ur side business as well. Remember, your primary job is the reason why u have the EAD and and are able to setup a side business. The Primary job according to me will always need to get its due importance.

Getting a bank loan is only dependent on showing that you will be able to pay it back. NO IMMIGRATION STATUS documents are required as long as you have SSN card. If SSN card says "Only with INS Authroization", then bank may ask further questions but if you are clear, the loan will be cleared. There are no legal restrictions.

I have compiled an extensive argument to support this case and I am currently in the process of getting the SSA to recognize the stimulus payment as a valid reason as required by the Social Security Act. If my petition is successful, it will set a precedent for others affected by the ITIN rule.

Therefore, he could be eligible for the tax credit. However, he may not be eligible for a SSN if he wants one solely for the tax credit."
I disagree with the last sentence and I am currently beginning the appeals process. I am willing to share the regulations and laws that support my case but I am wondering how to best share this information with others who may also want to get involved.

we need to write to Sen Joe Lofgren now more than ever..she will try to push the legal bill..also we need to write to her to compensate for some of the waiting time ...so that it gets counted for the citizenship..at least from when the I-485 was applied..I think we will see some sort of push for this ..my only concern is that we again will get caight with the illegals and our issue will be pushed to the side

It sure seems that there a lot of frustrated people on a short fuse. Staying focused definitely helps because of both our limited resources and influence. One thing that should be considered though is the greater good. Lot's of things could help an individual's cause. If I had the power to change the law I would start of by issuing green-cards within a month of getting an H1-B. But I don't have the wishing well in my backyard. I wish one of us could locate one and that would be the end of all this confrontation!

Relax don't lose your sleep about it . Atlanta is backlogged due to the incompetence and heavy workload of workers there . nothing more , nothing less .
