One of my friend got this message like for his EAD only.
Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION
Current Status: We mailed you a decision.
On October 11, 2007, we mailed you a decision on your I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. Please follow the instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, please contact customer service.
Can you guys tell me what does it mean, he is too worried.
HE filed in July27th and got receipts on Oct' end.

I have one question. Once we receive EAD and all 9 yards notices and once you switch from H1 to EAD system with same employer, are you still bound to work with same employer for full 40 hours.. can you cut your hours to 20 hours (nooo second job too). I can just work 20 hours a week . Is that permissible to be on EAD and still get GC processed?

I am applying for new H1b in April. Also I have 485 applied under EB2 with I-140 approved.
1. Can anyone tell me what all information about my green card status I need to share with prospective employer attorney to make sure they provide it in H1b application...???
2. What's alien number and where can I find it...???

Hi
I transferred my H1 to new employer and need to go for visa stamping.
I have a couple of qustions.
1.I belong to south india and my regional consulate is chennai.Can I go for calcutta consulat as I heard chennai consulate has delays in vsa processing.In such case,can I have to show any emergency proof?
2.My salary is 30k more than whatever is mentioned in petition.will it be a problem?
3.I recently heard that consulate officer is asking for contact agreement between employer and client.But in my case I have some addition layer B in between my employer A and client.So how can I provide letter.Do I need to show 2 letters.From my employer A to layer B and layer B to client?
Please respond.

Hi,
Im having my H1B and 140 approved with my current employer. Now I got into a situation where in I need to file a new H1B with a new employer through whom im working on a project.But once my H1B is approved, my new employer will dismiss/cancel the new H1b Filed, as they just need to show that they filed a H1B for me.
Will this be a problem for my current 140 and GC processing or my existing H1B?
Coz that Im not going to use my new H1B, I can still continue using my current I94 right!

In years past, many remember that the H-1B quota was exhausted as early as the first day of applications. Last year, the H-1B cap was not reached until January the following year. I would anticipate that with the economy still rebounding, the H-1B quota will last a significant amount of time. This will also ensure that everyone who can find a job offer this year will have a chance to make an H-1B application. AC21 is the only light at the end of the tunnel for doing such things. If you change employer before I-485 is filed and pending 180 days, all you will get will be your labor priority date. You will have to file labor and I-140 again with your new employer and when filing I-485 you can use your old priority date.
