I think we could have used some popular tactics to ensure larger attendance in the rally. If the core knew that people like Sheela Murthy and Greg Siskind would be joining the rallly, they should have let everybody know in advance. some people would have attended just to see those big names in person.
I know it's all about ideology and you can say we don't need people who don't want to come for the cause, but looking at what other anti-immigration groups are resorting to, it wouldn't have been a bad idea.

Last few lines of this artice is clear about Senate mood. Even IV wants to lobby sepeately for gc numbers IV has to come up with reasonable numbers based on requirement. Arbitary numbers or blanket exemptions will have more chance for failure.
But unless they can prove that they system is not currently being abused, and unless they can come up with specific figures for the number of visas required, they will have a hard time persuading lawmakers that the cap needs to be raised beyond the current proposal of 115,000.

Before dot com bust even lot of US citizens welcomed H1b persons as there was not much layoffs. But past 7 years layoffs increased to outsource to India,China and other countries. For that they have to hire H1b and L1 persons from Countries mainly India. Those things made anti immigrants hardened their stand. US workers fear that they may lose job if US opens up immigration too much.

Guys wait till you see "real" bulletin and even if mirror to what has been placed to Mumbai Consulate, EB3 will forward perhaps slowly now but picking up. EB3-India with PD 2004 mid and before will not have to worry that much.
With all these new developments I am not sure it will really move any faster. May be after october 08 we may see some considerable movement in EB3.Mine is March 03. Hope fully I will get my GC by next summer, 09 summer.

Schedule A is basically limited to nurses and physiotherapists - I have not heard of any others being included. Radiology professions (MRI, CT techs, etc.) are in high demand but are not include, though i don't know why?

I think it was mentioned in one of the posts in Murthy site that such a situation could lead to denial of I-485 as it would constitute abandonment of AOS application. One should use EAD after filling AC21.

If you disagree with IV's goal that is fine too but it is unfair to hundred of volunteers who are as smart and analytical, as yourself, if not more and still spend hundreds of volunteer hours on this campaign and come back to be greeted by such unhelpful and critical posts.
The reason we might fail will not be because of high odds against us, or wrong target, rather inaction and refusal to either be a leader or a follower on IV campaign issues

Well, I've got a few reasons.
1. I don't like the attitude that comes along with the people that speak it.
2. I just don't like the language.
3. I don't live anywhere close to a place where I must know Hindi to survive.
4. The Indian Constitution recognises English as a subsidiary official language.
5. If I have survived as long as I have without knowing Hindi, I'm sure I can survive without knowing Hindi for the rest of my life.

Bunnyboy is a member of IV's forum and he had a magic sequence number to call USCIS, that will hit the USCIS IO not the CS dept.
Fdbl another name of fragomen. I wanted to say that fragomen lawers are well respected within USCIS. The IO was very polite after hearing my case was filed though fragomen.
Till now i or my wife does not have any RFE throughout our L1/L2 to GC. Now GC is in hand.
I know they are little slow, but you have to followup to make it fast. One thing is they donot take shortcut in process. Thats the reason many are frustrated. Desi lawers and companies can go to any extent and we should not compare that with a professional law firm.
I am wondering your logic for using "desi lawyers". They graduated through the same system as any other "book smart" attorney in the "smart" fragomen system. I think it is always a negative to go through a large law firm. An association with a large firm must not be confused with efficiency. Who knows...might be freebies which they provide to HR grp of the large firms keeps them in the picture.......................

Fragomen employees are told they represent the company. The company is their client. They are a corporate law firm. There are instances when the law firm represents you, the foreign national. Usually this is when you are applying via a marriage based case, or are in the final green card process and it has reached portability. There is information that law firms cannot release to you as some information requested belongs to the client, and they must receive authorization from the client. Yes, I used to work for Fragomen, before anyone wants to assume anything. I was a paralegal and worked hard for every case that was given into my hands. I specialized in the green card process and made sure I responded to every foreign national as quickly as I can. Please understand that paralegals and legal assistants are subject to the attorneys they work for. Therefore, some questions you may ask require an attorney to respond, and the paralegal or legal assistant's delay may be in trying to get the answer you require. I know not all Fragomen offices work the same. Not all will respond to you in the same manner. Some may be worse than others. So if you are going to defame Fragomen, would you please try to specify which office you are referring to?
