I am in a silimar situation stuck at PBEC. I haven't posted anything because people are quick to come and bash (as you noted - even if we are just venting frustration - like the rest of everyone a few days back). Yeah, life is unfair but some things further add to it.
P.S. My husband attended the rally in SJ nevertheless (I was out of town.)

sorry, i missed the obvious. In the links i posted earlier and also on I-131 instr page, it clearly states that Bio-Metric is a must for 1) Re-Entry doc and 2) Refugee doc, but not Advance Parole. duh! :-)
But i think when u e-file they ask for FP even though its Advance Parole.
im paper-filing now wiht no FP fee.

It's already been referred to the House Judiciary. Since it had to do with Competitiveness i'd rather much rather see it in the House Energy and Commerce or House Science Committee. Despite all their talk of 'welcoming legals, and pro-immigrant, anti-illegal immigrant" pronouncements, they haven't done much to help legals in the Judiciary Committee.

Btw, in the senate skil bill (s 2691) i see a new co-sponsor added, TX Sen Hutchinson. Can you set up the Webfax in a way that we can email our Senators/Congressmen to request they co-sponsor their chamber's respective versions of this legislation? Thank1

I did not attend as I was not in a position to take 2-3 days off from work during Sep18th, too much work load, need to fly from CA, additional expenses, etc. ..But I'll definitely attend if the next rally happens in the Bay area or close by.

AILA members have been receiving denials based on the USCIS's use of information found on Wikipedia, an online encyclopedia to which anyone in the world may contribute information. As such, it should not be considered an objective or completely reliable source of information. SCOPS advised that it has notified the service centers and there should not be additional RFEs or denials based upon Wikipedia.
It should be noted that, as a corollary, applicants and petitioners should not try to use Wikipedia as support for their filings or arguments, since it has been deemed an unreliable source.

can any one help me i left my company and i joined another company (h1b transfer rec date was 3/13/07 and still pending is this normal ? if my previous company revoke my visa after the new copmany filed for the transfer will this be a reason for ins to deny my h1b transfer? please help

I read in some posts before that there were 18,000 Eb3 approvals in 2007. Is this true ? If USCIS is allocating unused numbers at the end of the year, then Eb3 India might move fast during the rest of this year.
There are total 27 EB3-I approvals on since Oct'2008. In 6 months, only 27 approvals is not a good number.
Does anybody know why USCIS is not touching EB3-I aggressively and are we close to using all EB3-I for this year already?

I have a few questions regarding the application for AP for a dependent, and I would appreciate it if someone would answer them.
1. If the dependent is applying for AP, should I include the primary applicant's I-485 in the application packet?
2. The dependent has an EAD. Is it necessary to include copy(ies) of the EADs with the AP packet?
3. If the previous AP has expired, is the applicationo process for a new AP different from that if a non-expired AP is being renewed?
4. I was reading in some threads that the $305 fee will be waived if there is a pending I-485. Is that correct?

Very good. If I can go, I am sure you can go too. If I can afford to buy some plane tickets, you can too. If I can take a day off, you can do it too. This little time and money is nothing compared to your next few visits to your attorney's office when is time to renew that I am sure you're tired of doing.
I want to do it for my family, you do it for your family and then educate somebody else so they can go too. Next thing you know, we'll be a lot and we'll be heard.
If you don't go to D.C. you'll feel bad when you see that we succeeded and you did nothing about it!!!! just taking a "free ride" All of us are enjoying the results from the flower campaign and the S.J. rally. So we know we can do it again.
When you get your GC faster than expected, you'll feel so guilty.
We'll be there, I want to be proud that I did my part!!!!!
